Since 2021, the CSE Alumni Advisory Board has annually recognized outstanding Computer Science and Engineering students for their leadership excellence and service to the broader CSE community. Now in its fifth year, the scholarship continues to celebrate 7 undergraduate and 3 master’s students who exemplify a strong commitment to giving back.

Now in its fifth year, the scholarship continues to celebrate 7 undergraduate and 3 master’s students who exemplify a strong commitment to giving back.
Originally established in response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on students, the CSE Alumni Advisory Board has proudly sustained and evolved this initiative in a post-pandemic environment. Board members remain inspired by the exceptional individuals within CSE who consistently go above and beyond to support and strengthen the community.

To continue this tradition, the board has allocated funding to award up to seven $1,000 undergraduate scholarships and three $1,000 master’s scholarships.

Who is eligible for these scholarships?
Who is eligible for these scholarships?
CSE students that are pursuing their Undergraduate or Master's degree under the Computer Science and Engineering department. PhD graduates are not eligible. Majors include:
B.S. Computer Science
B.S. Computer Engineering
B.S. Computer Science with a Specialization in Bioinformatics
M.S Computer Science and Engineering
M.S Computer Science and Engineering (Computer Engineering).
Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Who are the CSE Alumni Board?
The CSE Alumni Advisory Board is a dedicated network of CSE alumni who serve as engaged partners and advocates for the Computer Science and Engineering department. The board fosters a strong sense of connection and pride among alumni, former students, current students, and the broader CSE community.
Its mission is to strengthen and promote meaningful relationships between CSE alumni, current students, faculty, and staff; cultivating a collaborative and supportive community that advances the continued success of the department.
- Scholarship applications will close on Memorial Day - Monday, May 25, 2026 at 11:59pm.
- Applicants will be notified on Monday, June 1, 2026 of the status of their application.
- Scholarships will be awarded at the CSE End of the Year Celebration on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
